Ghana Solar Street Lamps For Garden Project Was Officially Signed

       On August 5th, the signing ceremony of the handover certificate of the Ghana solar street lamps for garden project aided by the Chinese government was held at the Ministry of Energy of Ghana. Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Sun Baohong, Business Counselor Gao Wenzhi, Li Jiang, Ghana's Deputy Minister of Energy John Abdulai Jinapor, Deputy Minister Benjamin Spencer Kwaku Dagadu, Project Contractor Huawei Ghana Technology Co., Ltd., Zhou Yi attend. Ambassador Sun Baohong and Deputy Minister Kinapp signed the project transfer certificate and delivered a speech.

      Vice Minister Kinnap thanked the Chinese government for its assistance to Ghana, and said that the project solved the lighting problem for relevant sections of Accra's urban area and benefited the citizens of Accra, which is an important milestone in the history of Canada-China cooperation in the field of new energy; Huawei's first-class construction quality and construction speed ensure the successful implementation of the solar street lamps for garden project.       Ambassador Sun Baohong said that China-Canada cooperation is committed to benefiting the people of both countries, and China will continue to help Ghana achieve national rejuvenation. She also reviewed the important achievements of China-Canada cooperation in other fields, and praised the long and rich content of China-Canada cooperation.

        The construction of a Ghana solar street lamps for garden project started on September 20, and was completed and put into use on May 30 of the following year. The solar road lamp project has built a total of 275 solar road lamp, using efficient LED lighting technology, can work fully automatically, and provide lighting for a total length of about 9 kilometers, greatly improving the road's night safety.
